Full brother to Parcmorfa
Ffraed.
Geraint is a very handsome black gelding, and is a full up 14.2hh. He is
good to shoe/trim, box, in traffic, to catch and to handle. He has excellent
manners in the stable and field. Will ride alone and in company.
He is kept as naturally as possible, has 24-hour
turnout, and is “iron-free” (i.e.
barefoot and bitless). Please note that the shoes and bit have not
been discarded due to any problems with farrier, feet or mouth, but
purely from a welfare point of view – and Geraint is proof
that horses are happier and healthier without bits and shoes. Prior
to going ‘bitless’ he was ridden in a simple snaffle.
This lovely, genuine Welsh cob is good on roads and over bridlepaths
and is also an excellent ‘ride and lead’ horse. He is
good to rug and though he will need to continue being rugged this
year, he happily lives out without.
An excellent show prospect, he has been placed and will go far in
the right hands. He is perfectly happy to be ridden in either Western
or English saddle. He will neck rein and is in the process of learning
Natural Horsemanship.
Geraint is a real gentleman to both handler and fellow field mates.
He has a presence and character that instantly makes any rider proud.
He is patient and understanding and would make an excellent teenager/2nd
or light adult horse. He is sadly for sale due to business commitments,
and will only be sold to a caring, knowledgeable home.
We can offer excellent facilities for you to trial Geraint – a good
length hack, on roads and with bridlepath if you wish. He can be seen demonstrating
basic Natural Horsemanship, and can be handled alone and with other horses,
in and out of the stable.
There are many excellent bed and breakfast / guest houses in the area if you wish to stay overnight – this fine gelding is well worth travelling to see!
Tack includes turnout rug, genuine (Dr R Cook) bitless bridle (nearly new), and old but well-cared for English leather saddle, headcollar and rope.
This stunning cob is now SOLD - thanks to Nagtrader!
